A scene of daily life near the market of Sukuta and close to the two minarets of the mosque, which was inaugurated in recent years and one of the most important of Gambia.Sukuta is a town located in the Western Division of the Gambia. It had a population of 16,667 as of the 1993 census.

Una scena di vita quotidiana nei pressi del mercato di Sukuta e vicino ai due minareti della moschea,inaugurata negli scorsi anni ed una delle piu' importanti del Gambia.Sukuta è una delle piu' grosse citta' e contava 16667 abitanti al censimento del 1993.

An unusual picture with the people walking away but with rich vibrant colours I think it works well, contrasting with the plain colours of the minarets.

Hi Luciano

The twin white minarets dominate the shot, and the fg people in their colorful attire animate the shot and provide scale. Good sharpness throughout and excellent framing, with plenty of breathing space right around. Good saturation and warm cold color contrasts between the blue and orange. Tfs!

Fine contrast over all of the pic. space: from the colorful cloths of the local ladies, to the brown soil and to blue sky's with the rising minarets in white.
Bright daylight contributed to a fine shot.

da ogni tuo viaggio riporti bei ricordi e testimonianze di vita. Questo mi sembra che ti abbia particolarmente ispirato e ti abbia portato a concentrarti essenzialmente sulla vita locale. In questa però l'elemento dominante è il contrasto tra il bianco immacolato della moschea che troneggia sopra un aspetto periferico fatto di misere baracchecostruite con materiali di fortuna. Un contrasto stridente e ingiustificato che senza dirlo apertamente hai perfettamente documentato: una immagine che vale un lungo discorso.

Hello Luciano - Colourful DL scene here. The ramshackle buildings in the FG stand in stark contrast to the elegant minarets behind. Why is it that religious buildings often look well made and costly to build while those who use them are dealing with the daily battle of poverty? A daily life scene full of movement and colour, dusty streets and wooden buildings, just as I would imagine a Gambian town. The minarets are totally different, tall, modern, white, decorated, a bit of a surprise. really.
You have composed the shot really well, giving emphasis to the contrasts and with good leads.

another superbly executed shot from Gambia!The first thing that strike my eyes is architectural aspect of the photo,namely the real clash of different styles.The market stands made of corrugated metal and imposing Minarets of a mosque dominating above the surrounding.Strong,but very attractive juxtaposition.And the people in the market make not only the atmosphere more lively,they add also so much beautiful contrast and colors to the scene.

You shopw us here two different elements, architectural and huamn, in a beautiful way. The people with their back away and their long shadow on the ground makes and interesting scene under the minarest. The light gives good colors ans sharpness.

la scena e lo scenario sono molto interessanti e ci dicono molte cose sulla vita quotidiana in questa parte di Gambia. I minareti sono ben posizionati nel quadro e visti da un ottima prospettiva che rende un' elegante interazione fra loro e una giustapposizione intrigante con i caratteristici del primo piano. Mi piace molto la profondita', il movimento, le tessiture, i colori e le ombre nella parte bassa della composizione e come spiccano i minareti nella parte alta. La gestione di luce e contrasti e' meravigliosa, i colori sono piacevolissimi. Complimenti e grazie!

This is a delightfully clear and sharp and colourful picture of life in this Gambian town. The tall pure white minarets stand proudly against a clear blue sky and they are in sharp contrast to the busy and colourful life going on beneath them.

The brightly coloured clothing of the people milling around here as well as the strong contrasts of light and shade in the foreground are delightful. Fabulous light and colours, good composition, perfect exposure and exquisite clarity and sharpness.

You like food, not problem I will upload more Laos food, even it is not as tasty as in Isarn - North-eastern Thaialnd. The minarets in you shot reminds me of Morocco, but as architectural influences are crossing borders, it is no real surprise. Very vibrant and bold colour tones with high sharpness. Well done

Una foto stupenda della vita quotidiana. I colori, dettagli e profonditá sono come un filmato. Mi piace molto il cornice di bianco che ha accentuato quelli dettagli che ho notato prima.

Sono sicura che in questo momento, tu hai alter cose da fare e pensare. Ma ti dico che anche se siamo 20000 chilometri di distanza, sei nei miei piu cari pensieri. Avrei voluto dedicare una foto alla tua stellina, ma voglio anche rispettare il tuo privacy.

Great shot of the daily life scene from the market of Sukata.The minarets look very prominent and symbols of the local culture and religious beliefs.The womenfolk have their heads covered with scarves keeping in line with the Islamic tradition.Very well done.TFS.

Ho scoperto che sei stato in Gambia. Vorrei anche andare; ho un amigo da li ed mi sembra un posto piacevole ed interessante.
La tua foto mi fa pensare che e proprio cosi. Il minareto stile Africano mi gusto ed la gente multicolorata. Ne ai preso bene l'atmosfera del posto. Un bel street snapshot con un cropping ottimo.
