Photographer's Note

There are almost no photos of the Eastern part of Gambia here, on TE. So, I'm posting another photo of this area. I took it very near Wassu, one of four sites that form the "Stone Circles of Senegambia", which are a World Heritage. These sites (two situated in Senegal and two in Gambia), are situated between the River Senegal and the River Gambia and they form one of the most incredible concentrations of stone circles. rnI believe there are not many tourists visiting this place, so, when they do, they draw the attention of the locals. This old boy was playing with an old tyre and he stopped for a while watching us when we passed there.
