Great Royaldevon 2016-08-15 5:18

Hello Ike,

A Sunday morning stroll used to be high on our agenda, though nowadays, we tend to be metal detecting or keeping up with family on a Sunday!

This looks like such a tranquil place, created by the lush green and the shady path. The waiting bench is an obvious enticement!
I like how you have used the pathway so effectively, leading to the strongly placed, monumental sculpture.
What tree is showing those orange berries? Is it a rowan?

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Exclamation To Royaldevon: The tree with red/orange flowers

Hi Beverly,
Thir is the Callistemon or as sceintifically named:Callistemon phoeniceus.
I was a bit surprised to see that in August, when is the hottest weather - already it had flowers. Best time to see it's full blossom is between September and october. See this picture taken on this very same location - just an opposite view from 09/2010.
Thanks,
Ike

Thumbs up the tree

Thanks, Ike.
When I see it so clearly, it is obviously not the tree I suggested.

Warm regards,
Bev
