Great kato 2013-04-03 22:50

Hi Murat,

You're capturing well this port by a good composition, so it's interesting and impressive to see the cargo ships which are at anchor alongside the pier and a lot of container loads on port/ship. The whole is harmonized well by a good color combinatio. And, the low mountain of backdrop draws out a good atmosphere in this image.
Anyway, I tried a workshop since it considered that it was better to have improved in my opinion. However, this is my personal taste, and I hope you don't mind.

Kind regards,
mikio

Hi Mikio,
Thanks for your kind words and your workshop upload. If I were trying to have a documentary image of the port, I would definitely use your version. (Then again, if I wanted a documentary image, I would go back another day when it was not raining!) However, the softness (almost blurriness) in my version captures the mood of the day, which got reduced in the sharpened version.
Thanks for your input!
