Great papera 2010-12-21 13:54

hi benny,
I am glad you have decided to post these analogue shots from your China trip, because they have a quality and a "presence" that makes me want to go back to film :)
every shot has a distinctive atmosphere, it reminds me of the times where you had max 36 shots and every one of them had to be pondered...
the man's worried or tired expression speaks volumes; with hindsight, his cap and jacket take on an almost symbolic character...
just out of curiosity - was it a slide or a negative film..?
have a good evening,

Wink To papera: nothing negative about negative

I know what you mean about wanting "to go back to film". When going through my old shots, scanning the print carefully, then doing some cleaning work in PP...I feel the same.

Analogue shots have SOUL.

I know it sounds like a horrible cliché, but sometimes I miss that feeling in my digital shots.

But will I go back to film? Well...I miss vinyl records too, but somehow I just don't get around to buying that new record player... Maybe some day...

I guess I'm against "progress" sometimes!

(but too powerless, lazy, really do something about it)

Sad, but true.
