Great pasternak 2006-09-04 8:13

One of my favourite places in Gent as well. Excellent capture, Andrew, one can feel the clear winter day so strongly, the light was really in your favour here! And what a reflection, just a very small bit distored. Very good shot.

Cheers
Alexander

Default To pasternak: Distorted, yes.

Hi Alexander. Yes, I straightened it up a bit at the sides, which usually causes some distortion elsewhere in the photo, as you've no doubt discovered. Anyway, Gent is without doubt a wonderful city, distorted or not!
All the best.
Andrew

Hi Andrew, actually I meant the other distortion, not the one that resulted from straightening, but the "natural" one, caused by the reflection in water, like it so much!...

Default Distortions.

Thanx for that explanation Alexander! Actually, though, I CAN see some distortion of the image caused by my straightening, but as no one else has mentioned it I suppose it doesn't matter! Thanks as usual for your constructive remarks.
Regards,
Andrew
