Default Compared to Hokkaido Ice Sculptures?

Have you been to the Hokkaido Ice Sculptures festival? If so, how does it compare?

I've never been there but I'm certain it doesn't come even close in scale or size. The largest sculptures in Michigan (most of the biggest ones made, incidentally, by Team Japan) are no more than 5 meters high. But it's not exactly the same thing because all of the works in MI are ice carvings from blocks of ice. In Japan all the super-scale works are made from snow, water & ice.

If they didn't claim that it was the largest event in North America, I'd never have guessed. It really doesn't seem big enough to have that billing.
