Default About Blue frame in default for thumbnails

Dear Adam and friends all !

I think the blue frame which is in default for thumbnails and main size could be better!

-not in proportion with TE pages's colors
-has a bright tonality for eyes
-sometimes make a bad contrast with a picture's colors
-can distract indirectly specially in thumbnail view

but,suggestion:

* one of the colors which used in TE pages
* dark grey,not black !
* A selective way : with a few colors which we could be able to select one in uploading page(I think it's ideal).

How do think friends?!

Thanks for your replies.
Respectfully
Mohammad

Wow, the thumbnails have a blue frame! Thanks for pointing that out, because I haven't noticed until now... Seriously! ;-)

To me I don't feel distracted but if that affects you and other members I guess it's ok to change to other color.

But I think it should be a default color because choosing the color in uploading may make things a bit complicated, with members not liking the color, then erasing the photo to upload with a different frame, etc...

Hello Mohammad,

I kind of agree with you, this blue frame can disturbing in some few cases. But, as you may have notice every links on this site are light blue (dark blue for visited link). And what are the thubnails? They're links to the bigger picture. And when a picture is also a link, by default a frame of a variable thickness will appear and will have the same colour than any other link. Off course the colour can be change or the frame can be remove as well. But in regard of the site browsing logic I think those thumbnail/link should remain of the same blue than other links. And also, if one want to see a picture in the best condition, one need to click on the thumb to get the bigger picture, no blue frame there.

Just my humble opinion.

Cheers,

Thanks Romain

perfectly you are right, about "the site browsing logic",agree!

The Base of TE is "photography" (Learning about the world through photography),and we know that it's an "Art" and the colors(also B&W)are important elements in this art, therefore, changing the blue frame, although it has a logic base,is not a non-logic request/idea for a photography site.

Romain!please notice to B&W works here, the blue frame shows itself there strongly, and I know that you know it better.

cheers!

Aesthetically speaking, dark grey is better because it is a neutrl color and will not clash with the other colors. Andre'
