Great delic 2008-02-19 10:38

Fine shot, Kristaps, but I think your post-processing effort is worth noting, as well, am I right? The meandering creek and the green is nice but what I like the most is the gray silhouette of the mountain in the distance. Best wishes,
Hakan

merhaba hakan

thanks for the visit and the kind words, friend. as to post-processing, not too much done here actually. i adjusted the levels and curves a bit to boost contrast and 3-dimensionality (but not on the sky); slightly faded edge sharpening (not on the sky); resizing to TE size + some unsharp mask.

the sunspots (the left bank of the river, far background on the right) are not due to "painting with light" (a method quite popular here to enhance images, but which i have not mastered yet), but due to sun breaking through narrow gaps in the cloud cover (like the blue spot in the distance). since there still were some cloud remains (fog) in the spot above the landscape here, the light was not as bright as in the other river shot i posted.

kind regards,
kristaps
