Great Waylim 2009-12-06 18:50

Hi Dan,
I didn't it can still be so dark at 6 AM. But I guess I can't really know for sure since I never get up that early when I was in San Francisco :)
I like the glow of the light that illuminated very well it's surrounding and Market street is fairly quiet at this time of day. Thanks Dan.

Default To Waylim: It depends where you are in the time zone

Hi, Way -

San Francisco is fairly close to the western edge of the Pacific time zone, so sunrise will be later than, say, in LA. Also, we're close to the winter solstice now.

About 10 minutes after I took this shot, the sky did start to lighten. But it didn't look interesting enough to stick around for, and more importantly, I was freezing up there! (Twin Peaks is very exposed.) I'd really gone up to take the full moon as it was setting (otherwise I would have started later and gotten some of the sunrise), but there were too many clouds in the sky by the time I got into position.
