a "hunting mission" is such a great expression;
alas my nikon is still "kaput" as germans say, i'll use my old "praktica" instead

wow, a praktica... you are going retro!! I bought an old Zenit in Krakow, but it went "kaput" as well... I was really surprised, i thought it would last me for ever. Maybe I will try and get my hands on an old Kiev rangefinder.

anyways, really liked you photo from today, the huge amount of sky is great, different.

to be honest (and definitely not sober) i found it interesting AND different, too; actually i think it is one of my personal best from warsaw,it IS different - it speaks a different "language" than most of my other shots from warszawa;
speaking about the place i took it from - it is the newest bridge over wisla river (not seen actually on the image), across some sort of gardens/parks - thats why the mist; there must be some 10 km towards the PKiN building;
zenit is cool, a bit of extreme, but with great lenses usually, sorry to hear it got kaput, too, normally it should not, and we both know why :-))

Ready and packed and reporting for duty Col. Jerzy!

I'll bring my old Olympus 2n along if I can get some button batteries from somewhere in Warsaw ! I'm surprised how battered it looks and how small it feels compared to the 10D - Zenit's are built like tanks are they not?

I had an earlier Canon EOS something or other that had been in the wars so much it was all held together by tape - used to call it my Vietnam camera because it seriously looked as if it had seen combat!

see you soon
