Hello Mariusz,
As far as I can remember, many tourists have always come to Bruges. I cannot imagine that the film contributed a lot in that. But John is the Bruges specialist. So let's wait and see what he thinks.
Very nice with the lion on the foregound. I confess that I never thought of taking a picture like that myself.
You enjoyed a beautiful sunny day. Of course it was summer but you never know that you brought the weather of the UK with you :)
This is one of the most colourful views in Bruges. I like it a lot.
Nice presentation!
Best regards, Paul

Hi Paul,
I think the fact that a location was in a movie adds a special flavour to it. I have mentioned in my gallery before some locations in the UK which were used in filming Robin Hood or Harry Potter. Now after visiting these spots I watched the movies again with the main focus on the location. It is fun! I think for me it started when I lived in Los Angeles... sooo many movies were filmed there ![]() Kind regards, Mariusz |

Hi Mariusz,
I know people here who said the same after they had visited New York City. Afterwards they recognized certain places in a movie and it made that movie more attractive, they said. I have not yet visited any cities where famous films were shot except Mumbai ... but I never watch Bollywood movies ![]() Best wishes, Paul |

I did see that movie, Mariusz.
It's just difficult for me to consider Bruges as the location of a famous movie. It's rather a bonus that the for me familiar city has gotten. |
