Hello Benny,
Unfortunately The Cavern was closed the Sunday afternoon when I was there in 1964. It was already a legendary place, but the four young men had not yet reached statue status. This is a nice tribute to John Lennon and an attractive photo in mainly red and black.
Regards,
Gert

The advantage of being old(er) is that you can make the young(er) jealous of the concerts you've seen.
Or, in this case: of concerts you haven't even seen!. Same is true for me. Some of my students are dead jealous when I tell them I've seen Nirvana, Jeff Buckley, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Ray Vaughan, whatever....but these just don't hold up against the ones I haven't seen. The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix or the Allman Brothers Band, for example. Now don't remind me again of that Hendrix concert in Stockholm... ![]() Benny |

I'm sure I told you about The Cream's first London West End concert? Or their brief follow-up Blind Faith in Göteborg?

Leonard Cohen has been to my house, visiting friends living on the floor below mine. Unfortunately before I moved in, but still...

OK...I give up...
Or...should I mention that I once sat at the bar with Bo Diddley? |

Yes, please mention that! That beats anything I have experienced. I arrived a few days late to a pub in Ireland where John Lennon had been while taking a break from work in 1968.

...which brings our little magic mystery tour nicely back to the picture we started with.
