  • Thanks...
Thanks for the link, Fanni. I love these photos, showing so much open space. and a bit eery too. "Where did everybody go?"
  • Thanks for the link, really awesome and imaginative, but thought provoking -- what if it really so happens.....could b.
  • Anytime!

Yes, the photos are really thought-provoking...
We take too many things for granted in this world!

I've also seen a bit of the TV series mentioned in the comments to these photos - "Life after people". I hadn't seen it before. It has much in common with these photos. But, to be honest, the first few series left me puzzled, so I didn't finish watching it.

    Hi Elena,
The above quote appearing in your last reply, makes me confused. To speak or not to... if I speak ( in the forum) will expose my lack of know (ledge).---
Sure you can explain the proverb.

    regards
    Ranjan
  • Hi Ranjan,
it's not a proverb but the words said by Lao Tzu - from his "Tao Te Ching"..
It seems to me one can only feel the meaning of these words, not explain them "in words" (if I may say so). Did you read "Tao Te Ching"?

    Definitely, to speak!

No 'amount' of knowledge is enough, it's ever-expanding.. that's what I do each day: gain new knowledge... and the more knowledge I gain the more I feel like keeping silent! it's a paradox.
  • Hi Elena,
No, I've not read it. But thanks,I can understand your views, :-

"No 'amount' of knowledge is enough, it's ever-expanding" -- sure, agreed.

"the more knowledge I gain the more I feel like keeping silent!" -- not agreed. If one doesn't disseminate, the knowledge will go with him/her. The only thing which increases by gifting/disseminating/distributing .. is knowledge.

"that's what I do each day: gain new knowledge" -- you must be in any field of research...best wishes for your success.

    Hello Ranjan,
I've been - literally speaking - "sowing seeds of knowledge" for about 20 years already... cultivating reason, kindness and eternal values. And I must say I'm beginning to get tired of my job, and yet - it is one of those things that make me philosophic.

Actually, I was talking about a different kind of knowledge - and a different kind of wisdom. But it's a very philosophic question which, probably, requires a very long and profound exchange of opinions

As you haven't read Le Tzu (and, most probably, Chuang Tzu as well) it's rather difficult for me to prove my words and give examples without being misunderstood in this or that way...
