Great tyro 2019-04-02 7:29

Hello Stephen,

A wonderfully informative and fascinating note you have written - and a very well composed photograph taken from a well considered viewpoint to give this building a wonderful "presence" against that troubled sky.

But I did get the impression that this image looked just a little "flat" in comparison to your usual ones and so (and I hope you won't be offended) I have done a very quick workshop for you - I should be interested to hear what you think.

Excellent!

Kind Regards,

John.

I am not at all offended by your workshop; TE is all about learning from others. I have to confess I applied some pseudo HDR to the original image and whilst it was not exactly what I wanted it was better than the original, certainly as far as the sky is concerned. Your workshop has improved the picture no end and thank you for letting me know how you did it. I have since gone back again to the HDR image and made changes along the lines you mention in your accompanying note. Et voila!

Thanks for taking the time.

Kind regards, Stephen.
