Great macjake 2017-04-14 14:25

Hi Stephen
ah yes, this is exactly what the wide angle lens is best used for, to capture the entire building. Its easy to take it for granted, but a regular 20-70mm type of lens wouldn't be able to fit it in and wouldn't give this perspective either.
a fine collection of colours, i really like the aqua green on the shutters and balcony, and the blue sky works well too.

PS
You have alot of shots from the Islands of Portugal, I won't have enough time to visit any Islands. I'm going to Porto, Lisbon, then down south to the Algrave. I have only 12 days. More than half of that time will be in those 2 main cities, probably 3 in Porto 4 in Lisbon. Leaving on April 20th. any advice?

cheers
Craig

Hi Craig,

Your division of the available time seems about right. I have no particular advice to offer. When I go on holiday I tend to wander around and go where the fancy takes me. Both Lisbon and Porto have older areas that you will probably find interesting. Both are rather hilly though I shouldn't think that would bother you two.

When in Porto I suggest you try the fish baked in salt. Usually baked for two people, it's quite delicious and there is really no taste of salt!
Enjoy, I look forward to the pictures.

Regards
Stephen
