    Hello Gyorgy,

The guy does look dapper in his matched clothes.
You have placed him perfectly in the frame.
Maybe his smile is for the thought of an ice cream, or maybe it is because he is the subject of your photograph.

In the b/g, no thought of cycling, just the attraction of mobile phones!

    Have a good weekend,
    Bev 😊

    Hello Dear Costantino,

You have chosen a fine viewpoint, showing a good balance of land and sea, with a long perspective.
Your use of the f/g plants works exceptionally well, providing immediate colours and textures, especially the bright, red geranium., which just steals the show.

    Have a lovely weekend,

    Bonjour Philippe,

A good way to relax and follow the social distancing rules!

This is a beautifully composed photograph, really transmitting the atmosphere of peace and calm. The contrasts of sunlight and shadows has been well handled.

    Hello Lucas,

It is obviously washing day on the photograph, which adds colours and a compositional line to the daily life scene.
The mango tree is the large, focal feature, nicely balanced by the nearby, wooden house.

    Itís a well exposed photograph.

The orange and green artificial lights give a lovely warmth to the nighttime city. It really glows against the purples and pinks of the b/g.

    Hello Ian,

This shows even more clearly than your previous photograph how the trees are regenerating. It is quite amazing!
The new shoots are appearing from the blackened, scorched bark, which looks quite dead!
    Good use of shallow dof.

I suspect that this was taken early in the morning, too, without many other people around.

You have obtained an excellent view of the Pantheon, despite the huge number
of other tourists in the f/g and in the b/g, and you have been able to include the whole obelisk.

    Wigan Krysztof,

The red brick details look like an opening fan over the window., it really is attractive!

    Hello John,

This is ridiculous, I have had my critique removed and had to prove I am not a robot!
    I will try again!

This must have been very strange for you, photographing your favourite city without sight of other visitors!

The church has had a long and chequered history. It must have been traumatic for the citizens when the tower collapsed. Thank goodness this one has stood the test of time!

Your photograph was taken when we were experiencing a some beautiful, warm weather. The church and surrounding area are bright and colourful, without a cloud in the sky! It's a glorious shot.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Ciao Caro Silvio,

I remember the tale Scilla when reading Homer.
There are such interesting and exciting links between the present time and history!
Your photograph shows the fort standing out well against the sea, with the red roof tops guiding nicely towards it.
The sea does make a fine backcloth but I feel it would be better cropped to make up one third of the frame rather than nearly two thirds.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Malgo,

Three interesting photographs and a an interesting note to accompany them.

It has taken a long, long time for women to reach their potentials and be appreciated for the work that they do but it is happening! Still a long way to go!
There are very few statues of women, other than royalty, in the U.K. It is noted and plans are afoot to include more women.

Your photographs show Cambridge, the much less popular Oxbridge city in TE, and reveal its beautiful university buildings.
You were so lucky to have experience of handling such noteworthy items! Well done!

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Another delightful photograph of Venice.
I love how well you have used the mooring posts to anchor the f/g and create an excellent sense of perspective.

    Hello Jorge,

This is a very beautiful tower and makes a strong impact both for size, and beauty of design and decoration. It seems a pity that the guy who donated the money never got a chance to see it!
You have flanked it neatly by other vertical features, which gives it a pleasing composition.

    Hello Jean,

The site is running so slow, today, that I have given up on it twice! I wondered if it was because of the bad weather but Gert says it is running slow for him, too>

I like how you have included the cliff edge in your photograph, it gives depth to the scene and makes a colourful, contrasting border, of grass and flowers, to the expanse of sandy beach.
It is clear to see how the sea is slowly eroding the cliff edge, where the reddish cliff is becoming concave.
The lighthouse is a feature included nicely. It is on the horizon and draws our attention right across the cove.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Gert,

I find these mud walled houses fascinating.
I would imagine that this building has a roof which is used to sit on, since there are apertures through which one can look. I wonder why these are all so intact and yet those shown by Ian are slowly melting (though they are much older, I suppose).
    The textures are well captured.

The 'Lady Standing There' is very well placed and makes an irresistible focal point. She also creates a story scene: why is she there, who is she waiting for, why is she alone ... there are many questions to begin a story!

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Loong,

This looks an exciting photograph on the thumbnail, because of the colours and the title. The colours look really intriguing.

It's a fine photograph, full of atmosphere, the long, tall corridors drawing us in. The figures remove any sense of fear, give us confidence to advance and ... they help to reveal the huge scale of the building.

    Have a good day,
    Bev :-)

If you still haven't worked out how to upload a workshop, this is what I do. I always place my w/s photograph on my desktop, so it's easy to find. After you have posted your main photograph on TE, go to your posted photograph and underneath it, you will see a title 'post to workshop'. If you click on this, it directs you to choose a photograph, which will be on your desktop. Don't use punctuation in the title of your w/s photo or it will say it is illegal.
