    Hello Ike,

    I like this very much.
You have captured just a small section of the city, yet you have captured the style of the buildings, with their tall, shuttered windows, the tendency to add fine decorative touches above doors and windows and suggested that these streets are narrow, tall buildings either side.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Craig,

I don't think that moving away from loud music is necessarily a sign of being old! When the music is too loud and the style is not to your taste, it's a turn-off at any age!

THis is a very well chosen viewpoint, on your part, and a very well chosen viewpoint for those in the restaurant.
I like how we are able to look down on the old, stone building, possibly some protective part of the port, to see its composition, textures and situation within the port. In addition, we can appreciate how it has been adapted for modern living.
You have created an excellent sense of depth and controlled the light well.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Jorge,

There look to be lots of tourist boats preceding you.
I would imagine that the tourists are here for the river cruise and the distinct, round topped hills.
Is there anything of great interest within the city.
I think, weatherwise, this looks like the best day. We can see clouds in the sky and the visibility seems much better.
    A fine compositional shot.

    Hello David,

This is a most interesting photograph.
The lady in the f/g, riding the bike and wearing the traditional headgear makes a very good focal figure.
I like how you have included three figures, three is a good number for composition.
Things may have changed now, but this is a record fixed in time.

    Witaj Krzysztof,

    This is an excellent photograph.
I really like how you have used the tree in the f/g. It makes a very good link with the b/g tree to give a very well balanced scene. The castle fits neatly between them, sharp and clear.

This is a beautifully sharp photograph.
You have composed the scene really well, the tall tower placed very strongly in the frame. It has the advantage of being bathed in the lovely light that is crossing its frontage.

    Ciao Caro Luciano,

This series of windows,, complete with patterns and reflections, make a most attractive photograph.
You have cropped the building really effectively to show a well balanced and well composed photograph.

The w/s was most unexpected. The vast, completely empty square was a real surprise!

    Bonjour Serge,

You took this photograph when America was a happier nation!

The Autumn colours look so attractive. The trees, sporting oranges, reds and yellows are prolific; they spread from the far side of the water, to the height of the distant hill.
I like how you have included the single tree on the near side of the water, helping to improve the sense of depth.

    My warm regards,

    Hello Lars,

I like the nice triangular shadow, in the f/g, seeming to support the flags, creating a different angle. They are an interesting introduction to the scene, which flows very naturally from this point.
All the features are sharp and there is a very, calm, social character emanating from the scene. The boats, the swans and the unhurried or seated figures create this mood.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Chris,

Gert comments that the parasols spoil the view, which isn't the case for me. I like how they anchor the f/g and provide a bright, relaxed mood to the scene.
I would imagine that the view from the platform, giving details of the waterfall, would be stunning. (Did you get any shots?)
Like you, I would have been loth to venture onto the platform if people were being irresponsible. Health and Safety is not at the top of the agenda in some places!

    Hello Denis,

You had a grey sky but, there are still definable clouds to give interest to it.
I like how you have off-set the slightly dull b/g by introducing the scene with the brightly coloured flowers, setting the tone and acting as a guide.
The church, with tall steeple, balances with the f/g flowers nicely.

    My warm regards,

    Hello Mariusz,

You paint a very convincing picture of why this is the better of the two cave complexes to visit!
No problem about the lack of colour, this is underground and very much more natural, the way that you have presented it!
I am impressed with the clarity, considering that this was hand held and in challenging, lighting conditions.
    Very well done!

    Hello Gert,

I can imagine that after emerging from the narrow pathway, when it opened up into this, it must have taken your breath away! What remarkably skilled stonemasons they must have been to achieve such beautiful buildings, still withstanding the test of time.
The pillars are nicely placed and must have had a awe inspiring impact when they were complete! They sort of dramatise the passage to the tombs.
I couldn't help wondering about the guy on the camel; to him, this view was probably so normal, so everyday, whilst to us, its breathtaking!

    Bonjour Nicolas,

The yellowing vines stretch like gold into the distance, creating irresistible lead lines and, at the same time, an immense sense of depth.
Like the twist of a magician's hand, the swirling mist makes a mysterious interval between the vines and the emerging trees.
    Excellent observation!
