Hello Gert I was sitting in the pub in the middle of your photograph only last month! Friends of ours have a house there. I can assure you very little has changed in the intervening almost forty years. Still very touristy of course but not too bad out of season. Splendid light, saturation and contrast from the Kodachrome. Kind regards Will

Hello Rob Nice one. I like the effect of the break down the middle of the frame: almost giving us two pictures for the price of one. Although of course there are plenty more than two images here... Regards Will

Hello Abmdsudi Well if this was hand-held, I take my hat off to you! You say the background is a little soft, but at this resolution it looks fine. I must say I thought you had used a heavy ND filter to achieve that wave blue. Overall a very pleasing and expertly-realised photograph. Regards Will

Hello Gert Well I can assure you that not much has changed in the intervening years, though perhaps the bicycles have been largely replaced by mopeds. And more people are wearing face-masks! Nice street shot. Kind regards Will

Hello By I know the place very well of course, and love your take on my local patch, litter bins and all! That's not my boat in the background is it? I expect you know my predeliction for under-exposure: I'd have knocked a stop off the exposure, but that's just me... Kind regards Will

Hello Jean I like the natural, not over-saturated colours, and in particular, the figure in the foreground, giving life to the shot. I've sailed in Mounts Bay, and can corroborate your comment about the tides! Regards Will

Hello again Elaine Well, not exactly street photography, but a thoroughly superior landscape instead. Mist, reflections, dramatic peaks, but above all the stillness - beautiful. Regards Will

Hello Elaine Black and white street photography: my favourite genre. This is a witty and well composed example, the latter difficult enough when taking grab shots. As for the luck: certainly serendipity, but you also make your own luck by looking for the right opportunity. It's the nun's expression as she catches you catching her which lights this image up. Regards Will

Hello John I have to admit it: it was your title that initially attracted my attention, and then the bizarre and extraordinary tale of Maggie that kept my interest. And you admit that the photograph is a Gert "nothing special". Which makes it right up my street - especially as it features two pubs, including the Smallest Pub in Scotland (apparently a Mission Hall originally)! Got to visit... Kind regards Will
